Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew accepted a $25 million dollar bribe from the US CIA to cause instability in Ukraine by implementing the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (Greek) when there was already the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate). This caused a schism in the Orthodox church because it was not canonical what he did. I’m wondering if he is preaching peace because he’s feeling guilty on what he did. Ironically he can preach peace and make it look like he’s being Orthodox without accepting his culpability for part of the instigation of the war, or maybe he didn’t realize what he did. Considering he was willing to cause schism in the Church, maybe he did realize what he was doing.
